Latetia Holmes

Meet Latetia Holmes, she is a Mental Health Practicum Student with a strong background in crisis response and communications. Prior to pursuing a career in counseling, she worked as a Communications Officer and Emergency Dispatcher at a 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Point, where she provided calm and reassuring assistance to individuals in highly stressful and sometimes life-threatening situations.

Through this experience, Latetia developed expertise in active listening, de-escalation, and crisis management, skills that now inform her therapeutic approach. She is trained in managing high-pressure environments with compassion and professionalism, utilizing empathy and judgment-free communication to support individuals in distress.

With a foundation in emergency response and licensure through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, Latetia brings a unique perspective to counseling, particularly in supporting clients who are navigating stress, anxiety, and life challenges. Latetia's goal as a counselor is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their healing journey.
